Four cheeky chimps are out of control and ready to party. They’re battling across five wacky worlds in a series of crazy challenges, all in the hope of becoming the Ultimate Chimpion.
We’ve put together a little guide, to help your chimp get the edge over the competition.
Before we get the party started you’ll need to download the free Chimparty™ companion app.
Using the app is easy. Follow the step-by-step instructions on your smart device and you can’t go wrong – just make sure your smart device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your PlayStation®4.
1) Download the app from the Apple App Store®, Google Play Store or Amazon App Store on your phone or tablet.
2) Install the app and launch it on your phone or tablet.
3) Turn on your PlayStation®4 and start the game.
4) Tap “Play” to connect to your PS4™.
TIP: If your Wi-Fi signal isn’t very good, you can use your PS4™ as a Wi-Fi hotspot instead. But remember – when you’re connected to your PS4™ Wi-Fi hotspot, you won’t be able to download the free Chimparty™ app, so you’ll need to have done that first.
Chimparty features four different game types – so whether you want a short simian session or a full-on monkey marathon, you can find the right mode for the moment.

Two-to-four chimp challengers can take part in this board game battle. The aim of the game is to get to the end of the board before your opponents and claim the Chimpionship Trophy.
You earn stars by competing in mini-games, with each star earned moving you forward one space on the board.
There are two types of spaces you can land on:
The chimp in last place will get an extra chance to catch up with their rivals by rolling a die – the space they land on will also determine what kind of party game the group will play next.
Can you beat Bob?
You’re taking on one crazy orangutan in this single-player showdown. Win your mini-games and you’ll move towards the Chimpionship Trophy, but mess up and Bob the Orangutan gets closer and closer.
Lose too many and it’s a faceful of cake, courtesy of Big Bob. You can choose from three different difficulty levels: Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Time to mix things up a bit!
This is the perfect mode for a quick blast of fun.
There’s no board, no tutorials and no loading screens. Just up to four players battling it out over 10 randomly selected party games.
Whoever has the most stars at the end wins.

Choose what games you’re playing and how many times you need to play. Up to four players can get involved – whoever has the most stars at the end takes the prize.
Our chimps love to have fun but they’re also super competitive.
Here’s a selection of some of their favourite party games.
What to do:
Shoot your chimp through the hoop to earn points. Grab coconuts and bounce off bongos to get point multipliers and boost your score.
How to play:
Press and hold the button to determine the power of your shot. Release the button to launch your chimp. The aiming arrow moves automatically, so wait until it’s in the right place before you press the button.
What to do:
Try and smash as many objects as you can. But watch out for beehives – touch one of those and your score will take a hit.
How to play:
Press and hold the button to determine the power of your shot. Release the button to launch your chimp. The aiming arrow moves automatically, so wait until it’s in the right place before you press the button.
What to do:
Battle for possession of the delicious pineapple. You gain points as long as you’re holding it.
How to play:
The chimps will run back and forth automatically, changing direction when they hit a wall or bump into each other. Press the button to jump and press it again while you’re in the air to gain more height. Bump into the chimp holding the pineapple to steal it from him.
What to do:
Cover the ground in as much paint as possible. The chimp whose colour covers the most ground earns the most points. Pick up buckets to drop extra paint and run into balloons to create a large paint splash.
How to play:
Press and hold the button to run forward. The aiming arrow moves automatically, so wait until it’s facing the right direction before you press the button. Steal buckets from other chimps by charging into them.
What to do:
Grab as many rubber ducks in the bath as possible. But be careful – Bob the Orangutan is trying to relax, and if he catches you splashing about, he’ll grab you and dock you points.
How to play:
Press and hold the button to swim forward. Release the button to dive under the water and hide from Bob. The aiming arrow moves automatically, so wait until it’s facing the right direction before you press the button.
What to do:
Swing and fling your chimps towards the target.
Grab coconuts or bounce onto the bongo before you hit the target to multiply your score.
How to play:
Press the button to grab onto the nearest peg. Hold the button to swing your chimp round and round. Release the button to fling your chimp off the peg.
What to do:
Team up with another chimp. Swing around the pegs and try to knock the ball into your opponents’ goal. Just make sure to protect your own goal.
How to play:
Press the button to grab onto the nearest peg. Hold the button to swing your chimp round and round. Release the button to fling your chimp off the peg.
What to do:
Swing around and avoid the chimp holding the beehive. Every second your score counter will rise, but if you’re the one holding the hive you won’t gain any points – so get rid of it quickly!
How to play:
Press the button to grab onto the nearest peg. Hold the button to swing your chimp round and round. Release the button to fling your chimp off the peg. If you’re holding the beehive, bump into other chimps to pass it on to them.
What to do:
Team up with another chimp. Try to put the ball in the other team’s goal while protecting your own.
How to play:
Coordinate your movements with your team. One player’s button makes your team move up, the other player’s button makes your team move down. If both players press the button at the same time, the ball will bounce away with extra speed.
Every star you gain in party games goes towards your collection meter at the top of the screen.
Fill it all the way and you’ll earn a new piece of clothing for your chimp. It could be anything from classy moustaches and funky footwear to handsome hats and hairstyles.
Customize your chimp at any time by tapping the monkey face icon. Your personalized primate is stored safely on your smartphone or tablet – so you can bring them over to your friends’ house to play on their PlayStation®4 consoles.
